BB creams are set to be huge this summer and here's our roundup of the best for 2012 so far.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Daily BB Cream
Having launched in August 2011, Garnier’s Miracle Skin Perfector Daily BB cream kick started the BB cream craze in the UK. With SPF15, mineral pigments and plenty of vitamin C, this cream not only covers imperfections and brightens your complexion, but it also looks after your skin too.
The formula dries completely matte, giving you the perfect base for your blusher or bronzer. This is a great summer beauty buy when you’re looking for lighter coverage as it does the work of your moisturiser, foundation and concealer. In a nut shell – you get a lot of bang for your buck with Garnier’s BB cream.

Good for: A make-up artist finish
Ok, so this is not technically a BB cream, but it does provide SPF 15, a Max Factor foundation and Olay’s Complete Care moisturiser, so it’s all there except the name. By combining the two separate beauty products, the lightweight formula hydrates skin and gives you great coverage in one, saving you both time and money.

Good for: Busy mums on a budget
While Clinique’s Age Defense BB cream is more expensive than other brands it does contain SPF30 protection, which is reflected in the price tag. Higher sun protection isn’t the only thing this beauty product offers either. With silca and vitamin E, the BB cream will disguise fine lines and protect your skin from the environment, whilst also hydrating it.
It’s easy to use and the consistency feels like a lighter foundation, so it’s an ideal beauty buy for the summer if you can’t leave the house without some form of coverage.

If you’re not a big make-up wearer, but would like some form of coverage every now and again The Sanctuary’s Skin Perfecting BB Cream will be right up your street.
It’s as light as a feather and feels like a second skin once it’s on, plus it gives your skin SPF 15 protection. The inclusion of natural oils, which help to protect skin, and super hydrating hyaluronic acid are reflected in the higher price tag of this BB cream.
It’s worth noting that the cream does look dark when you first apply, but as you blend into your skin and leave it a couple of seconds you’ll notice it lightens.
