‘This is my life’ Woman shares reality of excess skin after incredible weight loss

A woman has shared the reality of excess skin after extreme weight loss, in a very honest post on social media.

Jessica Weber has been sharing her weight loss progress on her Instagram account since she began her slimming journey, but in one of her latest posts she got very honest about dealing with excess skin.

Sharing a picture where her 12 stone weight loss is clearly visible, Jessica opened up about her struggle with excess skin.

‘This is my reality! This is my life! When you lose 180 pounds, the skin doesn’t just suck back up!’, she wrote in the caption.

In the post, Jessica also admits she wants to have surgery to get rid of her excess skin but not before losing more weight, which means she’ll have to live with this reality for a while.

‘I have been learning to deal with it, even with wanting to lose a bit more weight and have surgery! This is my life until then and I will not hate my body anymore!’

Jessica’s honest post compelled some of her nearly 23k followers to share words of support in the comments, praising her for being brave enough to share her struggle.

‘What you have accomplished is a miracle! Keep it up! You got this!’, one user wrote.

‘Your journey is incredible – kudos to you for sharing your struggle and success with the world!’ another said.

It’s not the first time Jessica has shared her struggle with excess skin, and she’s even had to responded to comments that her loose skin is fake.

She wrote in one post: ‘I’ve noticed some weird comments about how my loose skin is fake…it’s real!! Here it is in all its glory!’
