Liam Payne says son Bear 'loves singing' and admits he wants another baby

New dad Liam claims his five-month-old son already enjoys singing

Liam Payne has revealed that baby son, Bear could well follow his pop star parents' footsteps into the music industry.

The One Direction star let slip in a recent interview that his five-month-old son, Bear Grey loves singing and already appreciates music.

While chatting on Entertainment Tonight Canada, the 24-year-old gushed: 'He loves singing. He loves being sang to.'

'That's what makes him happy and what makes him laugh, so maybe there's a bit of music in him, you know.'

The proud dad also broke the cardinal parenting rule to boast about Bear's sleeping habits, revealing that the tiny tot spends an impressive 11 hours a night dozing.

'He's just a super happy, chill baby,' he said. 'We're super blessed that he just chills out and since he was eight weeks, he's been sleeping 11 hours.'

Liam has been working since Bear's birth in March, even missing his first Father's Day because he was on tour promoting his debut solo single.

The pop star described Cheryl, 34, as a 'real rock' when it comes to his music career.

He added that the mother of his child was very supportive of his endeavours: 'She's broken records in the UK for having the most singles as a solo female go to number one.

'So it's like you have one of the best people at this job in your house saying, "Come on! You can do this!".'

And, while son Bear is only five months old, Liam has already admitted that he's keen for a second baby.

Talking to The Sun in an exclusive chat he claimed the couple will wait until his work commitments have quietened down before trying.

'The options are definitely open for me on having another baby,' he said. 'Bear is the best creation I've ever made so I welcome the idea completely. But, when, I don't really know.'

'I'm about to do an album and tour for a bit so we need some time before we think about baby number two, but we've got time so that's okay.'

'I don't know how many we would like - but not too many.'
