Call the Midwife's Helen George and Jack Ashton reveal the name of their baby girl
It's a cute one!
Call the Midwife co-stars and new parents Helen George and Jack Ashton have confirmed the baby name they've chosen for their little girl.
Helen revealed the moniker by sharing a picture of their newborn bundled up in a blanket on her Instagram account, and adding in the caption: 'Our little Wren Ivy'.
Wren is a unisex baby name that typically refers to a type of small bird, whilst Ivy is derived from the name of the plant - so it would appear the couple looked to nature whilst deciding what to call their daughter.
Fans were quick to compliment the pair on their choice, with one exclaiming: 'What a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl!!! Congratulations on the Birth of your Baby Girl 💘💘'.
'Love the name Wren it's not what I've heard before but I love it x,' another commented, whilst a third said: 'I have two daughters, my eldest is Wren and my youngest is Ivy! Congratulations, she is beautiful x'.
Helen and Jack, who began dating whilst filming the BBC One drama in South Africa, announced last week that Wren had arrived earlier than expected, by posting a snap of the little one attending her own baby shower.
Alongside a series of pictures which showed the new family cutting a cake and celebrating with their family and friends, Helen explained: 'When your baby turns up early for her own baby shower, welcome to the world little one. What an amazing day, we have the best friends 💕💕💕'.

However, other than their adorable birth announcement, both Helen and Jack have remained fairly private about the pregnancy, with Helen only unveiling her growing bump on the red carpet at an awards show back in September, much to the surprise of fans.
'Can't believe @helen_george is pregnant!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍 the baby bump is big!! #callthemidwife' one wrote on Twitter at the time.
