Kensington Palace confirms the day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding
It's not when we thought!
Kensington Palace has confirmed the date that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's will tie the knot on in May.
Officials had already revealed that Prince Harry would wed American actress Meghan in May 2018, but a new post on Twitter has announced the actual day that the ceremony will take place.
'His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018,' the tweet read.
'Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.'
Royal watchers initially predicted that the ceremony would take place on the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May, with many suggesting that Saturday May 26th would be the big day.
The new revelation also means that it's likely that Prince Harry's sister-in-law, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, will attend the ceremony even sooner after welcoming her third child than expected.
The palace has previously stated that Kate, who is already mum to Prince George and Princess Charlotte with husband Prince William, is due to give birth sometime in April, one month ahead of the couple's nuptials.
