Ferne McCann slams critics saying she is 'sick of being judged' and 'scrutinised' as a new mum

The mum-of-one has spoken out against the increasing pressures of motherhood and judgement from others

Ferne McCann has slammed critics for constantly commenting on her parenting skills as a new mum.

The former TOWIE star's comments came after she found herself in the spotlight for falsely being accused of drinking shots ahead of the National Television Awards in London last week.

'The NTAs was my first night away from Sunday and I'd prepared so much for it,' she said.

'My mum came to the hotel so she could help with Sunday, and I'd expressed milk earlier so Mum could take Sunday home and feed her.'

Ferne went on to admit that she's fed up of having her every single moved watched and judged as a new mum while she adapts to motherhood.

She told OK! magazine: 'I am so sick of women being judged continuously and, as a new mum, I have never felt so judged. Being a new mum is pressure enough without having my every move scrutinised and falsified.'

The 27-year-old gave birth to her daughter on 2 November 2017, seven days ahead of the baby's due date.

'Welcome to the world my darling. Didn't expect to see you a week early. I'm so in love & bursting with pride. It's a girl,' she exclaimed.

Ferne - who uploaded an adorable picture of the little one alongside her words - has always been vocal about life with baby Sunday.

It's been a very stressful time for Ferne whose daughter's father Arthur Collins is currently serving a prison sentence.

'I think, as human beings, you really do surprise yourself with your own strength,' she revealed to the Press Association.

'When you're faced with something this tricky, you just have to deal with it.

'These past six months have been tricky times, they've been testing and it has been turbulent, but the light at the end of the tunnel was - for me - Sunday. I just kind of surrounded myself with great family and friends.

'At the end of the day, I've got Sunday and I'm just so happy, and she's healthy, and I'm just relieved.'
