American Pie star Thomas Ian Nicholas welcomes second child with wife Colette

American Pie star Thomas Ian Nicholas has become a dad for the second time this week, as he welcomed his second child with wife Colette.

The couple welcomed their second bundle of joy on on Wednesday 13th April, and it's a baby girl!

Thomas, 35, and Colette, who are already parents to four-year-old son Nolan River, decided to name their baby daughter Zoë Dylan Nicholas.

'I'm a dad ... again! We're so happy' the proud dad told People magazine, adding that his son was keen to help in the name picking process.

'Nolan really wanted to name his little sister Princess Leia. Even though we're all big Star Wars fans, we decided to name her Zoë Dylan. Nolan agreed as long as she becomes a Jedi', Thomas said.

The 35-year-old actor married his wife Colette, 40, who's a DJ and singer-songwriter from Chicago, in 2007. The two welcomed their son four years later, in October 2011.

Thomas became famous after his roles in Rookie of the Year, in 1993, and in the American Pie series where he played Kevin Myers, the boyfriend of Tara Reid's character, Vicky.

Thomas is also a musician, and one of his songs actually featured in the soundtrack for the fourth installemnt of the comedy series, American Reunion.

A few days before giving birth, Colette shared this cute picture of father and son on her Instagram account

Speaking to Indie London about combining film and music, the dad-of-two said ahead of the premiere of the film: 'I love juggling both and this is the first time that the two have converged. To be on the same project, where I have a song on the soundtrack, is great.' More recently Thomas is portraying Walt Disney in the film Walt Before Mickey, which has been released on Netflix.
