Amy Childs reveals she's turned her placenta into pills and face cream
Fans praised the star for her decision
Amy Childs has revealed that she's turned her placenta into pills and face cream after the birth of her first child.
The former TOWIE star, who welcomed a daughter on 30th April, shared a snap of the finished products on her Instagram account, tagging the company Placenta Plus in the post.
Fans were quick to praise Amy for her decision to encapsulate her placenta, with one saying: 'I wish I knew about this when I had my three 👧🏼👧🏼👦🏼it was so long ago now 😭😍'
'Best thing I ever did! It's fantastic,' another agreed, whilst a third added: 'My daughter did this and said it was amazing gave her loads of energy.'
Earlier this year, Amy said in her new! magazine that she was considering the process, writing: 'It's all very clever – they take all the nutrients out of your placenta once it's out, turn it into pills, and then you just take them with water like a vitamin!'
'It's better than cooking and eating it. Ugh, no way would I do that. I still need to properly look into how it all works – like, where do they take the placenta and when do they make the pills? – but I think I'm going to try it.'
Fellow celeb mums Coleen Rooney, Kim Kardashian and Natasha Hamilton have all opened up about using placenta encapsulation after the arrival of their children, with Coleen, who used the same company as Amy for the service, explaining to the Daily Mail: 'They had a slightly metallic taste and they definitely made me feel energised.'

On their website, Placenta Plus says that the benefits of taking the pills include boosted energy and iron levels, increased milk supply, balanced moods and hormones (helping to decrease the incidence of postnatal depression, reduced postnatal bleeding and faster recovery from birth.
In terms of the face cream which Amy recieved, they add: 'Placenta face cream is 100% natural ingredients with placenta extracts. The placenta is jam packed with collagen - every lady's best friend. It also has tones of stem cells which help repair any damage on your skin.'
They also offer body creams and balms, stretch mark oils and baby massage oils, and framed cord keepsakes, like the one Rochelle Humes received after the birth of second daughter Valentina.
