Boots 70 per cent sale starts TODAY and it's sending shoppers into a frenzy

The high street giant's annual event is now on, offering huge discounts throughout the store

Boots is slashing prices by 70 per cent in a huge new sale that starts today.

Fans of the high street retailer will have the chance to stock up on everything from cosmetics and electricals to essentials for children in the money-saving event.

Items from big name brands including Jack Wills, Ted Baker and bath time favourite Soap & Glory are thought to feature.

But if you thought you would be able to beat the queues by browsing the bargains from the comfort of your sofa, you'll be sad to hear that the sale is only happening in stores. However, savings of up to 50% can still be found online.

Boots fans have been flocking to Twitter to show off their purchases, with one user sharing a snap of a VERY full shopping trolley.

'70% Boots sale! Just went a bit too wild,' she captioned her image.
