‘Mum tum’s hiding it!’ Catherine Tyldesley addresses questions about her ‘missing’ belly button in bikini pic

Catherine Tyldesley has addressed speculation from fans who questioned her appearance in a recent bikini pic.

The Coronation Street actress, 33, shared a photograph of herself enjoying a trip to the beach whilst on holiday in Tenerife to her Instagram account, captioning the snap: ‘Tenerife it’s been a pleasure! Gonna miss this!! #Beachmeditation #namaste #happyplace #meditation #hommmmmmmmmm’.

Many of her 197,000 followers were quick to praise the soap star on her figure after welcoming son Alfie with husband Tom Pitfield in March 2015.

‘Killing it as ever. You are a real fitness and diet inspiration ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป’ one follower wrote, whilst a second agreed: ‘How did you get rid of your belly? Its so bloody flat!!! You look incredible!! My god bless your heart girl your rock that bathing suit!!!’

However, a few of Catherine’s other fans had noticed something rather unusual about the picture, with many of them asking her where her ‘missing’ belly button was.

‘Where’s your belly button?? Lol’ one commented, followed by another who wrote: ‘Where’s your belly button? Looks missing?’

Catherine was quick to respond to the queries, replying to one to explain: ‘Just above my briefs! Ha ha. Mum Tum hiding it ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ’

Her honesty won Catherine even more compliments, with fans celebrating her light-hearted approach to the questioning.

‘I wish I had that mum tum ๐Ÿ˜ฃ’ one exclaimed. ‘3 year old and 3 month old and feeling yuck! You look amazing.’

Catherine has always been candid about her relationship with her body, having previously revealed that she was a size 22 before embarking on a weight loss journey, which she’s kept up since becoming a mum.

‘Tom and I have a rule. If it ran, swam or grew from the land, we eat it. We donโ€™t eat processed food,’ she told The Mirror.

‘[For a treat] I’ll do a big gluten-free pizza with lactose-free cheese. Now that I eat so clean and avoid all junk, I just feel ill when I eat it. We make our own sweet potato chips too as a treat. I’m so rock ‘n’ roll arenโ€™t I?’
