Before learning of the happy news, Matthew decided to quit The Wright Show after an 18 year run.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, the 53-year-old revealed that his long-running IVF struggles had been one of the major factors in his decision to leave the Channel 5 show.

Speaking with the hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Matthew explained: ‘My wife and I, quite well known, we’d had long running IVF. Eight years of IVF, no joy. So personally things were pretty stressed and strained.’

A massive congratulations to Matthew and Amelia on their very happy news!
