Chrissy Teigen has taken to Twitter to ask fellow mums to share their ‘mean kid’ stories, and the results are hilarious.
As well as being a successful model, married to a very talented artist and mother to an adorable little girl, she’s also one of the funniest people on the Internet – but even Chrissy Teigen has bad days as a mum, when it’s more hair pulling than rainbows and unicorns.
On a particularly challenging day, she decided to turn to fellow mums on social media for help, in the form of ‘mean kid’ stories – and of course everyone has at least one…
‘I am having a very rough day and it would help me a lot if any moms would like to share stories of their kids being mean to them,’ Chrissy wrote on Twitter.
What followed is a collection of hilarious – yet very real – stories of children being mean to their mothers because – let’s face it – kids can be very cruel.
‘Last week, my 20 month old offered me a bite of her food. As I went to accept it, she snatched it back & ate it. When I made a sad face she lifted her tiny pudgy fists to her eyes and slowly rotated them while saying “wah wah wah” at me. I just wanted a damn bite of her Mac n cheese and she crushed me,’ one mum wrote.
A second described her son’s reaction everytime she goes in for a kiss: ‘my one year old son tells me no every time I kiss him 😩’ to which Chrissy added ‘Same except I get an added smack to the face’.
Another mum explained how her toddler made an executive decision to ‘cancel’ mums: ‘My 3yo just got right in my face and screamed, “You are over! Mommies are cancelled!’
If that wasn’t enough, another mum wrote about how her daughter seems to be refusing to say ‘mama’ but has no issue with ‘dada’: ‘My 13 month old says “dada” but every time I ask “can you say mama?” she looks me in the eyes, says “no” very clearly and then laughs’.
And then the mean humour – or just raw honesty – of a four-year-old came out: ‘My 4 year old son asked me why I was putting on makeup and I said “To make me look pretty.” He replied “I don’t think it’s working.”‘ Ouch!
