Claire Danes and her husband and fellow actor Hugh Dancy have announced that they are expecting their second child together.
39-year-old Claire Danes gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son called Cyrus, back in 2009.
The Homeland actress announced that she was expecting her second child with Hugh on radio show The Howard Stern Show.
She hinted that her family were set to become a unit of four sooner than you might expect.
Claire revealed: ‘I’m deep into my second trimester’. She then quipped that she was ‘seriously preggo’.
The radio host was both shocked and delighted that this was the first time Claire had revealed she was pregnant for the second time. She said: ‘You’re the first person I’ve told.’
Claire recently revealed that season seven of Homeland had finished filming last month so she can hopefully enjoy a little rest for the rest of her pregnancy.
The couple haven’t revealed any details about whether they are expecting a baby boy or girl but radio host Howard asked if he could be honoured.
He said: ‘Would you name the baby Howard if it’s a girl?’
Claire joked she would choose ‘Howardina’ but gave nothing else away.
Should Claire opt for ‘Howardina’, it probably wouldn’t be the most unusual baby name of the year – after all Khloe Kardashian named her daughter True and younger sister Kylie called her daughter Stormi just months ago.
Host Howard continued: ‘Was this planned or are we having a surprise?’
Claire confirmed that she and her fellow Hollywood-star husband Hugh had wanted to grow their family for some time.
She said: ‘Yeah, this was planned. We’ve been wanting another kid for a while, and it happened.’
Claire rarely posts pictures of her and Hugh or their son on her social media pages
Claire and Hugh’s fans were quick to congratulate the couple on Twitter as soon as they heard the news.
One wrote: ‘Congrats on baby number 2!🎉👶🏼’, while another added: ‘Congrats to you and Hugh!’
A third said: ‘Congratulations💕 For your second pregnancy💕💕💕💕’.
