Coleen Rooney has hit out at photographers who have been harassing her and putting her children in danger.
The mother-of-three returned from a holiday in Majorca with her sons early this week after hearing that her husband Wayne Rooney had been arrested for drink-driving.
Since the shock revelations, Coleen – who is currently pregnant with her fourth child – has retreated to her parents’ home in Merseyside – but as she tries to continue some semblance of a normal life for her sons, the 31-year-old has been pursued by photographers desperate to get shots of her.
Now, the business woman and designer has spoken out, hitting back at photographers for harassing her and putting the safety of her children as risk.
‘Please can photographers have respect and stop following me with my three children in the car…. it’s dangerous and I’ve had enough,’ she wrote on her official Twitter account.
Coleen then went on to reveal to worried fans that she had called the police about the situation. The Cheshire Police also responded to the mum’s please saying, ‘Sorry to hear you’re having problems. If your experience was in Cheshire we would be happy to discuss with you.’
Fans have rushed to send Coleen messages of support on the social media site, where one wrote: ‘Jesus Animals leave this woman and her children alone . Give her some privacy.’
‘That must be so horrible, really feel for you. Please can people STOP abusing Coleen, it’s disgusting, hasn’t she been through enough!!’ another agreed.
Putting the news surrounding Wayne to one side, the proud mum has been celebrating a big milestone for her son Klay today – his first day at school.
Coleen appears to have been keeping her boys close to her and focusing on them during this turbulent time for the family.
The news of her husband’s charge come less than a week after Coleen and her sons celebrated the end of his successful England football career, and a month after the couple celebrated 15 years since their first date.
