David Beckham shares adorable video of Harper's 'first football lesson'

The proud father shared new footage of Harper playing football with him in the park

Doting dad David Beckham has shared sweet new footage of his daughter Harper following in his famous footsteps as she practices her football skills with him in the park.

The father-of-four uploaded the adorable videos to his Instagram account, revealing that he took his daughter out for her first ever 'football lesson' this week.

The black and white videos show retired football legend David, walking hand-in-hand with Harper through the park whilst kicking a football across the grass, before they settle near a goal for Harper to practice kicking whilst David catches the ball.

David captioned the videos 'Someone's ready for her first football lesson' along with plenty of heart shaped emojis, proving that the former England star is clearly proud to see his little girl taking after him with her budding ball skills.

With David so focused on getting his daughter up to scratch with her football practice, it's possible that the 42-year-old be putting his hopes on Harper, six, to carry on his legacy.

With his eldest son, Brooklyn, now living in New York to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional photographer, Romeo taking a shine to modelling and his youngest son Cruz showing an interest in a signing career, Harper could be David's last chance to see another great footballer come from the Beckham family.

And, it seems that David isn't the only one keeping an eye on Harper's skills on the football pitch with hopes for her future career.

Back in 2015, the England Women's Football Team sent Harper a special personalised football kit. Hopeful that one day Harper might follow in her father's footsteps to become a great player, the kit also featured David Beckham's former number when he played for England, seven.

Proud dad David uploaded a picture of the kit to his Instagram account with the caption, ‘What an amazing gift from the England woman's team for Harper ... Good luck to the team tomorrow in their first game against France.’

So, could 'daddy's girl' Harper one day follow in her father's footsteps? Only time will tell...
