'I ended up as a co-parent' Drake confirms he has a secret son on new album
Drake has confirmed he is a father, after weeks of speculation about the son he was 'hiding'.
The speculation surrounding the rapper's son started when rival Pusha T claimed he was hiding a child named Adonis.
The musician - whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham - said the chart topper had welcomed a son with ex-porn star Sophie Brussaux, but Drake had yet to confirm the news.
Now, after releasing his new album Scorpion, the songwriter has spoken out about his son in a number of songs, saying he was trying to keep him away from the spotlight.
He says in the lyrics of his new song Emotionless: 'I wasn't hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid. Breaking news in my life I don’t run to the blogs, the only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call.'
The rapper also mentions him in the song 8 Out Of 10, where he sings: 'Never a matter of could I or should I, kiss my son on the forehead then kiss your a** goodbye. As luck would have it I’ve settled into my role as the good guy.'
In yet another song, titled March 14, Drake, whose parents divorced when he was five-years-old, speaks about his role as father and about the challenges of co-parenting.

'I'm out here on front lines just trying to make sure that I see him sometimes. It’s breaking my spirit. Single father, I hate when I hear it. I used to challenge my parents on every album. Now I'm embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent', the lyrics read.
Drake, who previously dated Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, also mentions the mother of his son, Sophie Brussaux, saying: 'She’s not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine.'
The Mirror also reports that the rapper also confirmed his son was born in October and that it was proven that he was his son by a DNA test, which he celebrated in Miami.
