Big Brother host Emma Willis has announced that she’s set to live out one of her ‘dreams’ in a new documentary presented by the TV star that will see her volunteer as a maternity care assistant and go behind the scenes at a hospital to see what it’s like to be a midwife.
The mum-of-three, who is currently co-presenting This Morning with fellow Big Brother star Rylan in Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield’s absence, will join hard working midwives on their tough 12 hour shifts and assist them on their rounds.
The TV presenter made the exciting announcement via her official Twitter account, and described working on the new documentary as ‘a dream come true’.
‘I’ve been so excited to announce this!!!! Experiencing what it’s like to be a midwife is a dream come true!’ the 42-year-old wrote.
‘If I wasn’t doing my current job, I would have loved to work in a hospital. Blood, guts and the workings of the body have always fascinated me’ the star is also quoted as saying in regards to the new show.
Speaking previously about her fascination with child birth, the doting mum explained that despite having delivered three child herself, she’d like to witness things from another perspective.
‘I want to deliver a baby, or at least see a delivery’ Emma revealed to the Daily Star last month. ‘I think it would be incredible to witness. I missed mine because I was at the other end.’
Emma Willis shares her three children with her husband, singer Matt Willis. The couple have a son and two daughters – Isabelle, who is eight, son Ace who is six, and Trixie who will turn two this year.
Despite her fascination with childbirth, the mum-of-three is adamant that she doesn’t want anymore children herself.
The star resolutely told The Sun recently, ‘That’s it! 100 per cent. I will be keeping Matt away from me now – I don’t need any more work!’
