She wrote: 'Starting off my Monday full of gratitude for this little blessing of a human! 🙏🏻 Pepe and I want to thank all the nurses at @cedarssinai who took such great care of my baby and I. You are all angels, sharing your knowledge and experience to make sure new moms feel good about going home and caring for this fragile life of a newborn.'

The former Desperate Housewife continued to say that the picture will serve as a reminder that no matter how big he gets, Santiago will always be her baby.

'I love this picture as a reminder that no matter how big you grow Santiago, you will always be my baby! #BabyBaston', Eva said.

The 43-year-old welcomed her first child, who they named Santiago Enrique Bastón, last week, on Tuesday 19 June at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

She also shared the news on Instagram, saying: 'Hello world! I introduce to you Santiago Enrique Bastón. Thank you everyone for showering my baby boy with all your warm wishes!'

The actress and her husband José Antonio Bastón, who's the president of the largest media company in Latin America - Televisa - announced they were expecting their first child together back in December.

José already shares three children - Natalia and twins Mariana and José Antonio - with his ex-wife, actress Natalia Esperón. They were married for ten years, between 1995 and 2005.

Eva has also been married twice before - to American actor Tyler Christopher between 2002 and 2004, and basketball player Tony Parker between 2007 and 2011 - but Santiago is her first child.
