The soon-to-be dad also shared the exciting news on Twitter, writing: 'Baby no 4 on the way ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I blame @OfficialClancy for looking like this.'

Many of the couple's fans were quick to congratulate them on the news of their fourth bundle of joy. One said: 'This is so exciting ❤️. Huge congrats to all of you.'

Another wrote: 'Congratulations to you all lovely news ❤️💗.'

A third commented with helpful advice for the Abbey and Peter: 'Huge congratulations! I’ve got 4.... 3 to 4 is much easier than 2 to 3!!'

It seems the pair might have changed their mind, as Abbey said their third child would be their last when she was pregnant in 2017.

She told OK! magazine at the time: 'I think this will be the last baby I have so I just want to embrace it.

'It was a bit of a shock and I’ve been very ill. I’m quite sick when I’m pregnant, but it’s fine.'

Speaking about how she deals with the changes her body goes through during pregnancy, Abbey added: 'I try not to get too hung up about my body changing because it’s natural and I think it’s a healthy sign if you’re growing with the baby.'

Abbey and Peter have been married since 2011, and they already share daughters Sophia, seven; Liberty, three; and 11-month-old son Johnny.

Congratulations to the family!
