Amazon forced to remove ‘disgraceful’ ‘Daddy’s little sl*t’ T-shirt following backlash

Online shopping giant Amazon has removed a children’s T-shirt from its website which was printed with the words, ‘Daddy’s little sl*t’.

The item, which was hit with backlash from Amazon customers and browsers, appeared on the website via third party seller Onlybabycare and had been available to buy from Amazon for $18 (£14) since June 2019.

The inappropriate tee was described online as being ‘suitable’ for ‘little girls or boys’ and wearable for events like birthday parties, baptisms, weddings, baby showers or even for ‘daily wear’ and ‘playing outside’.

The slogan piece has now been removed from the website after a surprised customer took to Twitter to point out the bizarre garment.

Available for sale on @amazon: “Daddy’s Little Slut” t-shirt...for children. Posting here in hopes it’ll expedite removal from Amazon,’ the user wrote.

Naturally, the social media post attracted a host of responses from other disgusted Twitter users.

Are you serious @amazon? Please pull this shirt and any similar articles of clothing immediately,’ one replied.

Who the hell would sell this?’ wrote another.

Please let 2019 end. This is too disgraceful,’ chipped in a third, while one more remarked, ‘If I ever saw a child wearing this t-shirt, I'd call the police.’

I literally cannot even comprehend someone choosing to buy this for their child,’ added another.

Amazon has since confirmed that the item has been taken down, telling The Independent, “All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account. The product in question is no longer available.”

Having heard the news that the T had been taken down, other people shared their relief.

'The item has been removed. Thankfully,' one penned.

And a second added, 'It's gone. Well done.'
