Amy Schumer and husband Chris Fischer have welcomed their first child together
The comedian shared the exciting news just several hours before The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal baby was delivered.
Amy welcomed her new arrival on Sunday night, sharing the happy news via Instagram with a photo of herself cradling the little one, alongside her husband Chris, in hospital in New York.
She captioned the gorgeous photograph saying: “10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born."
The 37-year-old is yet to reveal the name of her baby boy.
The actress also admitted she paid a flying visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art – where the Met Gala was held on Monday night – on her way to the hospital.
She shared an Instagram snap of herself on the museum's stairs in leggings and a grey baggy T-shirt, with the hilarious caption: “Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital 👠.”
Friends and followers of the couple rushed to congratulate the pair on social media.
Actress Jennifer Garner said: Beautiful! What great news, congratulations!!! ♥️
And, Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker said: Wow!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!💜💜💜.”
Demi Lovata said: “Yayyy!!! Congrats mama!!!”

Throughout her pregnancy Amy has always been active on social media about her experience.
Previously, the star admitted to suffering from severe morning sickness, known as hyperemesis gravidarum.
Last October, Amy announced the news she was expecting by posting a photograph of her and Chris’ heads edited onto Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle’s bodies.
And, the comedian was right about the couples' due dates being so close together – the two sets of lovebirds welcomed their new-borns just six hours apart.
Amy and Chris secretly tied the knot in February, after just four months of dating.
