Diversity star Ashley Banjo welcomes first child with wife Francesca

Ashley Banjo has welcomed his first child with wife Francesca.

The Diversity star and Dancing on Ice judge took to social media to reveal the exciting news – and he even announced his little one’s adorable name!

With a sweet photo on Instagram that shows Francesca cradling the pair’s newborn baby while the new dad looks on lovingly, Ashley revealed that the parents had welcomed a baby daughter by editing the image so that the only colour in the black and white snap was the new arrival’s pink outfit.

‘Our beautiful daughter came into the world at 6:45pm on 21st February 2019 - weighing a healthy 8lbs 13oz,’ wrote the doting dad.

‘Her name is Rose Adura Banjo,’ he revealed. ‘I am in the deepest love ever with my little family ❤ @francescabanjo I love you and am so proud #nextchapter’.

Fans rushed to congratulate the pair, with comments including: ‘Awww congratulations you two on your beautiful baby girl...hope mommy and baby are doing well’, ‘Congratulations to you both such a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl xx’ and ‘Not one but two absolutely beautiful little ladies to treasure now ❤congratulations daddio xx’.

One follower even commented on the meaning of the little one’s name, writing: ‘Congrats, she’s beautiful like her names Rose Adura (meaning prayers). May ur joy be full over her and those to follow.’

Little Rose is the first child for the Dancing on Ice judge and his wife of nearly four years.

The pair both took to their social media accounts back in October to reveal the exciting news that they were expecting their first child.

Alongside a sweet photo that showed the then parents-to-be holding a scan photo, with a pair on pink baby shoes hanging around Ashley’s neck, the 30-year-old wrote: ‘I am so excited to finally share the news that we are having a baby!! Now the time has come to finally say this out loud I have no idea what to say! I don’t know if words alone can explain how full of joy and happiness we both are.

‘It has been a more difficult journey to this point than most people know but we are now here with one of the most precious gifts in the world... A little girl! I have so many strong and incredible women around me, I know she will have great examples to follow.

‘Especially this woman right here - my wife and my rock. You are going to be the best mum in the world. I’m so excited to see our little one grow up and if by any chance she wanted to be like her daddy and bust a few moves, I’ve already got the dancing shoes covered!
