Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally introduced their first child to the world.
The pair decided to keep the birth private, but have now introduced their bundle of joy in a private photocall for selected members of the press at Windsor.
The pair have also revealed the new royal’s lovely name: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Speaking about her little bundle of joy, the Duchess said: ‘It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing, and I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.
‘He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm and has just been a dream. It’s been a special couple of days.’
Prince Harry also gave an update on his first few days as a day: ‘His looks are changing every single day.
‘Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two or three days and we’re so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.’
The couple announced the news that they’d welcomed a baby boy on Monday, via social media.
The sweet announcement read: ‘We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.’
Later that day Harry delighted fans with an impromptu press conference, where he said: ‘I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy this morning, a very healthy baby boy.
‘It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined.
‘How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.
‘We’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there, it’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.’
