Carrie Underwood welcomes second child with husband Mike Fisher

Carrie Underwood has welcomed her second child with husband Mike Fisher.

The former American Idol winner took to her social media to announce the happy news with a series of sweet pictures.

Posting to her Instagram account, the now mum-of-two uploaded three images of her new baby boy being cuddled by his mum, dad and older brother. And she even revealed the adorable name!

‘Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday,’ she captioned the series of images.

‘His mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!

‘Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed,’ added the gushing mum. ‘Life is good…’

Fans and followers flooded the post with messages of congratulations, writing: ‘Such a beautiful family! Congratulations on another boy!’, ‘He is so adorable. Congrats to the 3 of you. You are an amazing family’, He’s so beautiful congratulations to your gorgeous family ❤’, and ‘Congratulations and lots of happy moments!’.

And one even went on to note his star sign, which research suggests could mean that he will go on to have a similar career to his mumma.

‘Congratulations! Beautiful ❤ Aquarius baby boy!’

Little Jacob is the second son for the singer-songwriter and her hockey player husband, who announced that they were expecting a little one back in August, after they welcomed three-year-old Isaiah Michael Fisher back in 2015.

The 35-year-old, who recently sparked debate for saying she felt too old to have a big family, made the surprise announcement on her Instagram page in a promotion video for her upcoming tour and album.

‘You might be wondering or asking ‘Carrie why is your tour starting in May’. Well…,’ she said.

The video then zooms out to reveal a balloon display spelling out the word ‘baby’.

‘Mike, Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,’ she continued.

‘This has just been a dream come true with the album and baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited and glad you guys can share this with us and be a part of it. Love you guys. We will see you on the road in 2019!’
