Viewers in uproar after Channel 4 mistakenly tweets death of Michael Buble’s son

Channel 4 followers were in uproar after the channel mistakenly tweeted that Michael Buble’s son had died.

Michael Buble discussed his son’s cancer battle on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment during the TV network’s Stand Up To Cancer programme, which took place on Friday evening.

The singer, whose eldest son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer hepablastom back in 2016 when he was only three years old, left Stand Up To Cancer viewers emotional, as he discussed the details of his five-year-old son’s cancer diagnosis.

However, during the segment, Channel 4’s social media team tweeted that the Canadian singer’s son had died from the illness, despite the fact that Noah is now doing very well after his cancer treatment was successful.

In a tweet that was deleted from the network’s Twitter feed shortly after, Channel 4 wrote: ‘Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from Cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we’ve ever watched.

‘Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story!

‘Please PLEASE keep donating and help us #StandUpToCancer’

While the tweet was evidently intended to promote the musician’s story and garner empathy from viewers, leading to more charitable donations, followers were understandably outraged by the mistake, with many commenting that the young child hadn’t died and others expressing their confusion.

Before opening up about how ‘his whole world ended’ when he learned about his young son’s diagnosis, the 43-year-old showed off his musical talents during the Carpool Karaoke session.

The dad-of-three has previously opened up about his son’s battle with cancer, speaking about how him and his wife wished they didn’t wake up’ upon learning of their son’s cancer.

The couple, who welcomed their third child back in July, were ‘struggling to survive’ while their son was battling cancer.
