TV presenter Christine Lampard has opened up about mum-shaming.

The Loose Women panellist spoke out on yesterday’s episode of the daytime talk show about the disheartening topic.

The mum-of-one, who welcomed her first child Patricia back in October with husband of four years footballer Frank Lampard, told her fellow panellists about how she was mum-shamed when out in public with her nine-month-old daughter.

Recalling a time when she was out at a café with her baby daughter, the former One Show presenter said that a random man walked up to her and said: ‘I just want to let you know, I think you should burp her a bit more.’’

The new mum expressed her inevitable annoyance at the stranger’s comment, saying to the rest of the panel: ‘I wouldn’t mind if she had been screaming the place down, and I had maybe genuinely done something wrong – I get that – but I didn’t think I had, and she was sleeping!

‘I thought, ‘I don’t know you!’ The things that ran through my head that I didn’t say. I just left it.’

The TV presented gave birth to her baby daughter last autumn, taking to Instagram to announce the exciting news.

Christine and Frank took the heartwarming decision to name their baby daughter Patricia, after the footballer’s late mother.

Speaking out earlier in the year on Loose Women, she discussed the pair’s name choice, saying: ‘It’s old fashioned but it was Frank’s mum’s name. I sadly never got to meet her and Frank was incredibly close to her.

‘And it was one of his biggest sadnesses that I never got to meet her… we’ve gone with the traditional grandmother name we’ve gone very old school.’

During the same appearance, she also opened up on how she was brought to tears when she went to give birth.

‘I was sort of fine up until the moment the doctor said, ‘You’re about to become a mum’. I just said, ‘Oh my God.’’
