Radio DJ Dave Berry and his wife Sarah-Jane have welcomed their first child.
The Absolute Radio host took to social media to reveal the happy news that he and his wife, who he married in a secret ceremony back in March, had welcomed a baby daughter.
Accompanied by a black and white photo of the TV presenter cradling his new born daughter, Evangeline, and staring lovingly at her, he wrote a caption announcing the news.
‘I never thought I would find a happy place sat on a chair besides a toilet and a sink with a dripping tap,’ wrote Dave, ‘but I did!
‘Thank you to all of the hard working people at @uclh for being so knowledgeable, caring and wonderful,’ he continued.
‘But of course my biggest thanks along with my eternal love and respect is for my wife who bought our perfect little daughter Evangeline into our lives. The adventure ahead both excites and frightens us in equal measure.’
Fans immediately rushed to congratulate the couple, writing: ‘Big love Dave! Congratulations! It’s amazing, you’re gonna love every moment of it xxx’, ‘Amazing pic. Congratulations. Get used to sitting in a chair and just staring at the wonder’, ‘congratulations!! Cuddle her always. Nothing more special than a daddy’s love for his girl’.
One even made a play on the former Capital radio presenter’s name, commenting: ‘Congratulations on the newest Berry in the bunch! Welcome, Evangeline’.
The 40-year-old used the same pun when he announced his wife’s pregnancy with a sweet post on Instagram back in August.
Accompanied by a shot of Sarah-Jane cradling her protruding baby bump, he wrote the caption ‘A bunch of Berrys’.
In response to all of the congratulatory messages he received about his and his wife’s new arrival, the dad-of-one wrote a comment thanking all of his fans for their well wishes.
‘Thank you for all of your lovely messages and texts into the show today, I will share them with the family’.
