David Beckham branded ‘creepy’ after sharing video of him kissing daughter Harper on the lips

Victoria Beckham stirred things up all over again this week, when she shared a video of David kissing their daughter Harper on Instagram.

His wife Victoria shared the video, which shows David sweetly pecking their daughter on the lips during a family boat trip, to Instagram this week. Piers Morgan then reignited the debate on Good Morning Britain, branding it ‘creepy’.

While Piers admitted the video was ‘very sweet’ he then went on to ask: ‘Why would a father kiss his daughter on the lips? Don’t get it – creepy. Weird.’

‘Then you post that for the world,’ he continued. ‘You posted that for the world, why? Weird, weird, weird. It’s just weird.’

And while his GMB co-host Susanna Reid defended David, she also confessed that she thought it was inappropriate for the Beckham family to share the private moment online.

Last November, David was slammed for posting a picture of himself kissing seven-year-old Harper on the lips during a family ice skating trip, with social media trolls branding the image ‘weird’ and ‘inappropriate’.

But the former footballer’s fans were quick to leap to his defence, taking to social media to share photos of themselves kissing their own children on the lips.

Back in 2017, David declared that he kissed all his kids on the lips. ‘It’s how I was brought up,’ he said during a Facebook Live transmission. ‘We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them and support them. And you know, we’re very affectionate with them.’

This time around, fellow parents have taken to Twitter in droves to defend David’s actions. ‘A loving dad.. nothing to see here,’ commented one. ‘What’s wrong with a Dad showing his daughter some affection,’ another demanded.

‘I kiss my boys every night before bed,’ one dad shared. ‘I do several times a day to all my three beautiful children,’ another revealed.

‘I really don’t understand why people have issues with this,’ one mum added. ‘It’s absolutely ridiculous.’
