Actor Harry Shum Jr has welcomed his first child with wife Shelby Rabara.
The Crazy Rich Asians star and his actress wife both took to their respective social media pages to share the happy news with their legion of loyal followers.
The pair shared an adorable black and white photo that shows the tiny hands and feet of their newborn baby girl.
The sweet photo is framed with the caption ‘How wonderful life is, now you’re in the world’, which the new parents both shared with different captions.
Harry, who played Mike Chang in musical TV show Glee, was first to share the cute photo, with a simple caption that even revealed the baby girl’s name to the actor’s two million followers.
‘Baby XIA,’ wrote the proud dad, accompanied by two ‘blessed’ emojis.
Shelby, who also made a brief appearance in Glee back in its first season, reposted her husband’s Instagram post, writing alongside it ‘My everythings’ accompanied with a purple heart emoji.
Both exciting posts were flooded with comments, including many from high-profile faces, like actresses Sarah Hyland, who wrote ‘Cryinggggg’ and ‘AHHHH!!!!!’ on the two posts, Gemma Chan, who commented ‘ahhhhh congrats to you both and welcome Xia!’ and Harry’s Shadowhunters co-star Katherine McNamara, who wrote ‘Amazing! Can’t wait to meet little Xia. I’m ready to babysit at any time!’.
The new dad’s Glee co-stars also joined in the celebrations, with Naya Rivera writing ‘Congrats!!!’, Matthew Morrison commenting ‘Welcome to the world baby Xia! Cannot wait to babysit! Love to your parents!!’ and Kevin McHale adding a series of crying emoji faces.
This is the first child for both Harry and Shelby, after they married back in 2015 in an intimate ceremony in Costa Rica.
The pair announced that they were expecting their first child with a sweet series of photos on their Instagram pages back in November.
