Joe Swash slammed after posting 'dangerous' video of son on holiday

Joe Swash is on holiday with son Harry, but has received backlash after posting a video that some are calling ‘dangerous’.

The Instagram video showed 12-year-old Harry buried in the sand close to the sea, on a beach in Mojácar, Spain. The caption reads: ‘Job done!!’

In the video, Joe Swash explains to followers that Harry was ‘driving him mad’ so he ‘thought of a solution’, involving burying Harry in the sand with his shoulders and head poking out.

Harry starts shouting ‘Dad, help!’, to which Joe jokes ‘If that tide comes in you’re going to drown. Alright, see you later!’.

The video was supposed to be a joke and light-hearted, but many of Joe’s followers weren’t happy about the antics. One fan wrote: ‘That’s so dangerous’.

Another agreed, telling Joe and other fans about an incident: ‘This is dangerous. Not so long ago in the news a young child got into a hole in the sand and the wet sand pulled him under. Google it they tell people not to do it.’

One fan said that it was ‘far from funny’, agreeing that the situation could be dangerous. Another said that the sea could be ‘unpredictable’ and that a sudden wave could drown him. The fan added that it was a ‘stupid thing to do’.

But despite some of the criticism, other fans found Harry’s predicament funny, with many leaving laughing emojis in the comments and sharing their own experiences visiting Mojácar. So thankfully some saw the funny side of Joe's post.

Recently, Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon went on holiday alongside baby Rex and Stacey’s other children, Leighton and Zachary. Stacey uploaded an adorable photo of Rex wearing sunglasses that had fans in hysterics.
