Meghan Markle to receive 'heartfelt' birthday treat from The Queen
Meghan Markle’s birthday is fast approaching, and it seems she’s in for a very special surprise from The Queen herself…
Meghan’s birthday will already be quite special this year as it’s her first one since she gave birth to her first child, baby Archie, but now it seems The Queen herself wants to make it extra special for her.
According to new reports, the Duchess will be travelling to Scotland with Harry and their baby for a few days at Balmoral, the Queen’s castle in Scotland.
A source told The Sun: ‘The Queen and Prince Philip adore the couple and, of course, their new great-grandson Archie, and they have invited them to Balmoral for a few days.
‘It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It’s a huge honour.
‘They will celebrate Meghan’s birthday, and the catering team will bake a cake to mark the occasion.
‘Meghan may be a Duchess who can have anything she wants but the Queen is giving her a thoughtful present.

‘It’s no secret Balmoral is Her Majesty’s favourite home and that’s why this invite is so special and heartfelt.’
As well as being a nice way for the family to celebrate Meghan’s birthday, it’s also though to be little Archie’s first holiday.
The young royal was born in May, and is said to be having his christening this weekend.
According to The Sunday Times, Meghan and Harry are planning to make it a private affair in order to protect Archie’s privacy.
A source told the publication: ‘As Archie is not an HRH he feels he has every right to strictly police his son’s privacy.’
The new parents followed the same approach just after Archie’s birthday, shunning the post-birth photo call in favour of a session with the press a few days later.
However, they’ve shared images of the little boy for special occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, so it’s likely we will still see a snippet of Archie’s Christening day.
