Meghan Markle’s new ring could have a very special meaning

What do you think?

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has a third ring on her wedding ring finger, and fans are wondering if it’s a special gift from Prince Harry.

During Trooping the Colour, Meghan took a break from maternity leave to join her husband and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a carriage. As she waved to crowds during the Queen’s Birthday Parade, eagle-eyed fans noticed a third ring nestled between her engagement and wedding rings.

A ‘push present’ is sometimes gifted to a new mother by her partner, and is usually some form of jewellery such as a ring, necklace or bracelet. While a typically American tradition, it seems us Brits have started to increasingly adopt the ideas over the past few years.

Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier predicted Prince Harry would buy Meghan Marble this sentimental gift back in April, when he told Fabulous Digital: ‘I think Prince Harry will get Meghan a custom piece of jewellery, perhaps with the date of the birth or initials of the new royal baby to make it extra special.

‘From the beginning of their relationship, they have used jewellery to keep close, with the duo wearing matching bracelets while Meghan was in Toronto and Prince Harry was in London.

Whether it’s a push present or not, there’s no denying that it’s a beautiful piece of jewellery. Meghan’s latest accessory is a pave diamond ring; a special design that has stones set into the band.

It could also be an eternity ring, as they’re designed to symbolise ‘everlasting love’, and this particular design is ‘not easy to make’, according to The Diamond Store. So whatever the reason, the ring is clearly very special.

Meghan has certainly made a statement during this year’s Trooping the Colour, with her new ring being one of the most talked about moments from the royal event. Another one, of course, was Prince Louis’ antics during his first celebration.

The Duchess looked glamorous during the parade, her first royal appearance since the birth of her son, Archie. The Duke and Duchess are apparently eager to take the little one to America soon, and we’re eager to find out more about that.
