Actor Michael Sheen took to Twitter yesterday to share an utterly adorable post as he introduced his newborn daughter to the world.
The 50-year-old welsh film star and his 25-year-old Swedish actress Anna Lundberg welcomed the little one, named Lyra, last Monday (23rd September).
And almost a week later, Michael uploaded a sweet snapshot as he carried Lyra out of the hospital.
Captioning the cute image, he wrote: ‘Happy to say that at 8:41 am on Monday September 23rd our beautiful daughter Lyra was born. Thank you so much to Louise & all the brilliant midwives at both the Singleton and NeathPortTalbot hospitals. ❤👶🏴 🇸🇪😍.’

Plenty of Michael’s followers made sure to send well wishes his way, with one fan commenting: ‘OMG MICHAEL IM SO HAPPY, CAN’T IMAGINE HOW HAPPY YOU ARE CONGRATULATIONS❤️❤️❤️ I like the name you picked up for her btw. Lyra? Like a constellation? That’s beautiful✨.’
While a second chipped in: ‘OH MY DEAR GOD CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! all the three of you are so so so loved💖💖💖,’ and a third added: ‘Look how cute you are with your bundle of cuteness and your backpack. Congratulations!’
Thanking his supporters for their kind words, Michael later penned: ‘On behalf of Anna and myself thanks to everyone for your lovely messages of congratulations. It’s been a wonderful, bleary-eyed week full of love and kindness and extraordinary poo. #NotReferringToMyself.’
Michael and Anna first went public with their relationship back in May and announced the news of Anna’s pregnancy two months later.
Taking to social media to break the happy news, Michael said: ‘Very happy to let everyone know that my partner Anna and I are expecting a little angel of our own. (Just to be clear – we’re having a baby!)'
Michael already shares 20-year-old daughter, Lily Mo, with his ex wife, Kate Beckinsale, 46.
The pair were together between 1995 and 2003, before splitting and remaining friends to co-parent Lily Mo.
