Mum shares her genius parenting hack to keep kids still – and it’s surprisingly easy

parenting

Parenting can be exhausting, and sometimes it feels like your kids are constantly running around at 100mph.

If you want a much needed break, then this mum’s hack might make your life a lot easier.

Jessica D’Entremont documents her parenting on social media, sharing fun tips for parents everywhere to help make their lives a little easier. Let’s face it, we could all use that!

Explaining her genius idea, Jessica wrote, ‘Looking for a way to keep your kids still....

Buy them glow in the dark pjs. Tell them they have to lie really still under the light to "charge" them.....

I'm not even sorry 😂😂😂😂

****Update: To expand on the trickery I've started putting the pjs back into their drawer when they get dressed in the morning......unexposed to light all day they dim and do not glow in the dark when they tried to test me last night until they laid down again. Reinforcing the need to lie quietly under the light before bed. Again #notevensorry’.

So whilst Jessica’s trick is basically a little white lie, you get some peace and they get to enjoy some cool new pyjamas so everybody wins! That's one parenting hack we can all get behind.

Her post has since gone viral on Facebook, receiving over 190,000 reactions and 116,000 shares from amused people.

Other parents loved Jessica’s idea, with one writing, ‘Omg I am buying some and doing this to the girls’

Another replied saying, ‘Brilliant me too’.

A third agreed, and added, ‘This is brilliant!’

One eagle eyed commenter even noticed that the toys were joining in, saying ‘Haha I like how the cow is lying down too’. Maybe it needs its own pyjama set?
