Prince Louis and Camilla Parker Bowles' hilarious moment during Trooping the Colour

Did you spot this?

Prince Louis stole the show during Trooping the Colour with his very enthusiastic wave, which almost knocked the Duchess of Cornwall’s hat off as they stood on the balcony.

The one-year-old Prince seemed to be having a fantastic time watching the flyover, as he was held by both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. His enthusiasm amused the royals around him, including the Duchess of Cornwall when his wild arm movements hit against her hat.

Thankfully the Duchess was amused by young Louis’ energy, as she was spotted smiling and speaking to him as they all gathered on the balcony together.

This year was Louis’ first balcony appearance, alongside his parents and siblings, Princess Charlotte, aged five, and Prince George, aged four. For royal fans, it was lovely seeing the whole family together to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday.

Her Majesty turned 93 on April 21st this year, but the Trooping the Colour parades are a very grand and important public celebration of the Queen and our armed forces.

During his balcony appearance, Louis was also spotted sucking on his thumb, something that many young children love doing. Kate and William, amused, stepped in to remove his thumb from his mouth and encourage him to wave at the crowds. It was an incredibly sweet moment!

The Cambridge’s all looked great as they stood together, with Louis dressed in a pair of blue shorts and a classic white shirt with blue embroidery, the same outfit worn by Prince William and Prince Harry. It was an adorable tribute on such a special day.

Now he’s one, Louis is expected to attend more royal events with his parents. Kate confessed she always has to keep an eye on the young prince, as he was "keeping us all on our toes".

Perhaps one day Prince Louis will be great at waving like his big sister Princess Charlotte, who has been waving and showing off her sassy attitude during many public appearances
