Prince William was ‘perturbed’ by a gift given to him for Princess Charlotte
Prince William was reportedly left ‘perturbed’ after he was gifted a stuffed toy from children’s TV classic, The Clangers during a visit to the BAFTA head quarters.
- Prince William visited the BAFTA HQ this week to celebrate the launch of a new exhibition called Behind the Screens.
- During the trip he was given a cuddly toy from the BBC children's series The Clangers to give to his daughter, Princess Charlotte.
- This follows royal news that Charlotte is the owner of a sparkly, pink unicorn key ring, which was spotted on her rucksack on her first day at Thomas' Battersea.
It was revealed that the Duke of Cambridge’s four-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte is a big fan of the BBC programme, which re-launched back in 2015, the year of Charlotte’s birth.
William, who also shares six-year-old, Prince George, and one-year-old Prince Louis with wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, spent the day at the HQ to launch a new exhibition called Behind the Screens.
Royal expert Russell Myers appeared on ITV breakfast show, Lorraine today, describing the moment the 37-year-old future King received the cuddly toy.

‘The Clangers is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year but it was actually relaunched in 2015,’ he said.
‘I’m told Princess Charlotte is a big fan of the Clangers so Prince William was presented with a little Clangers toy.

‘He looked quite perturbed about it,’ he added.
Revealing details of William’s cheeky humour, Russell continued: ‘He did say, “I dropped a few Clangers in my time,” to add to it.
Little Charlotte was photographed walking hand in hand with mother Duchess Catherine on her first day of school earlier this month.
Dressed in school uniform, Charlotte stood beside older brother George, who was holding onto William, as she trotted across the playground before starting her first year at Thomas's Battersea.
Adorably, the Princess’ navy and red rucksack was decorated with a bright pink, glittery unicorn key ring.
