Princess Charlotte has reached a HUGE milestone this week
Princess Charlotte has reached a huge milestone this week, as she prepares for a very big change in just a couple of months.
The four-year-old is growing up fast – so much so that she has already ended her time at nursery.
The little royal has probably had an emotional few days, as she said goodbye to her school friends at Willcocks Nursery in Kensington.
The summer term at the school ended this week, and with it so did Charlotte’s time at Willcocks as she prepares to start a new journey at another school.
The princess will now have a much well deserved break for two months during the summer, until she joins big brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea in September.
The news was first revealed by Kensington Palace, with an official statement reading: ‘Princess Charlotte will join Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea from September 2019 this year.’
Simon O’Malley, head teacher of the school, also confirmed the news: ‘We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea.

‘We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.’
Back when Charlotte started nursery, royal fans were treated to a picture of the little royal on her first day – so it’s likely we’ll see the same later this year.
Kate and William also released official pictures of Prince George on his first day at Thomas’s Battersea in 2017 – which the mum had to miss because of severe morning sickness as she was pregnant with baby Louis at the time.
According to Vanity Fair, William and Kate picked the school because it’s mixed, and so they could enrol both kids at the same school.
A source told the publication: ‘The plan was always for Charlotte to follow George to Thomas’s so Louis will probably also be going,’ a royal family source told Vanity Fair. ‘William and Kate are very happy.’
