Princess Charlotte was given an adorable nickname at nursery - and we wonder if it will stick at 'big' school too!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s only daughter Princess Charlotte is known for her ‘feisty’ nature and sassy behaviour, which has earned her a very appropriate nickname during her time at nursery school.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, royal commentator Katie Nicholl told fans that the young royal was known as ‘Warrior Princess’ by her classmates at Willcocks Nursery School.

She said: ‘I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her. Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously she is a Princess, but she’s quite a tomboy.

‘She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality.’

But despite Princess Charlotte’s usual confident nature, her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea upset some fans, who though having photographers there made her even more nervous.

The Kensington Royal Instagram account shared a lovely video of the family doing the school run, with the caption: ‘Princess Charlotte arrives for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George ✏📚🏫’

Princess Charlotte has another sweet nickname, as revealed last year. This time it’s from mum Kate Middleton, and we think it’s lovely.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George have even given one to their grandad, Prince Charles. So it seems the royal family are very fond of nicknames!

We hope Princess Charlotte is enjoying her time at Thomas’s Battersea, and has managed to settle in. But if she’s known as Warrior Princess, we’re sure she’ll be quick to make friends.
