Kensington Palace confirms huge difference between Princess Charlotte and Prince George’s first day at school
- Princess Charlotte will be starting school next week, where her brother has been going for two years.
- However, she’ll be luckier than her big brother, as their mum Kate wasn’t able to accompany him back in 2017.
- This follows royal news that Prince George had to be given an apology after being ‘mocked’ for taking dance lessons at school.
Princess Charlotte is growing up fast, and she will be attending ‘big school’ with her big brother George next week.
The little royal’s first day at Thomas’s Battersea is on 5th September, and it’s been confirmed that she will have bother mum Kate and dad William on hand to support when she steps into her new school.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie said on Twitter: ‘Princess Charlotte, accompanied by Prince William, Duchess Kate and big brother Prince George, will attend her first day of school at Thomas's Battersea on Thursday September 5. There will be photos released on the day, @KensingtonRoyal confirms.’
This makes a huge difference to Prince George’s first day at the same school two years ago, as the Duchess of Cambridge was unable to accompany her little one.

At the time, Kate was pregnant with baby Louis and suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum - an extreme form of morning sickness that forced her to cancel all engagements during her first trimester.
On the day, Prince George looked adorable in his uniform while holding Prince William’s hand, so we’re looking forward to seeing Princess Charlotte on the first day of school too!
