Stacey Solomon reveals part of her baby’s name on Loose Women

Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon let the secret slip out on air yesterday.

It happened when Stacey and the rest of the Loose Women stars were discussing baby names ahead of the birth of the royal baby.

When the panel started talking about name choices inspired by pregnancy food cravings, Stacey joked that she could call her new arrival ‘Vinegar Swash-Solomon’ as she is craving vinegar.

Quickly realising she might have given away their choice of surname, she revealed: ‘I think we’re going to double-barrel the second name – that is a hot topic!’

Janet Street-Porter was quick to chip in, joking: ‘I’ve got a double-barrelled name. I had to marry someone to do it!’

‘This child would be born into the double-barrel club,’ Stacey replied.

Last week, Stacey’s partner Joe Swash told The Sun that he was planning to ask her to marry him after the baby was born.

‘I think we need a little breather,’ he explained. ‘I don’t want to do it all at once otherwise we’ll have nothing to do. I think I will do the generic, “Will you marry me?” You can do all that stuff like put a ring in a drink and all that malarkey but we are past that. It’s now a necessity – we’ve got kids – let’s just do it.’

Last week, Stacey confessed that they had found out the baby’s gender. But the couple are staying tight-lipped on their choice of first name.

Joe told The Sun that one of Stacey’s two sons had actually picked it. ‘It wasn’t my choice,’ he admitted. ‘I do like the name. One of her kids chose it. I can’t say more. If I give away what we are having I will have to sleep at my mum’s.’

Earlier this week, Stacey opened up about her fear of experiencing postnatal depression again, after she struggled to bond with her eldest son.

Stacey has two sons, Zach, 11, and Leighton, six, with a previous partner while Joe has an 11-year-old son called Harry with his ex-fiancée. This will be the couple’s first child together.
