If you're heading to the beach with your little ones this summer, this hack might be a good one to have under your belt...
Going near water with your children is always worrying for parents – no matter how attentive you are around them, a second is enough for them to wander off and get into trouble.
This is especially true if you’re at the beach, where you know little ones will want to go in the sea and splash in the water.
But what if there was a way to keep them happy and entertained without getting any gray hairs in the process or taking a paddling pool everywhere you go?
Parents have been sharing the genius hack they’ve discovered to keep babies safe and their peace of mind intact – using a shower curtain as the base of a DIY children’s pool.
The potentially life saving trick only requires you pack the shower curtain and then fill it with water once you it’s ready.
One mum posted the hack on Instagram, saying: ‘We will try harder tomorrow but a shower curtain beach pool. 👙🏖💦🐠❤😎🇺🇸☀So easy.’
The shower curtain hack is not the only one makings parents’ lives easier during summertime. If your child is not a fan of sandy toes or simply if you’d prefer to take their body weight in sand back to your car and into the house, arranging a fitted sheet in your chosen area can create a ‘sand free zone’ where your child can play – all you have to do is hold it in place using something like baskets or umbrellas.
A mum has also recently shared a hack on how to get sand off your kids’ toes – and yours too.
All you have to do is sprinkle some baby powder and the sand brushes off – so clever!
