Hilary Swank has revealed she's married long-term partner Philip Schneider.

The actress and her social venture entrepreneur beau revealed the news to Vogue magazine, providing details about the magical ceremony she had in a forest near her home in California.

She told Vogue: 'It was timeless. There is just no other way to describe it. I was overwhelmed with such gratitude and thanks to be marrying the man of my dreams and to see all the people we love together in the middle of such a profound setting. It was truly a dream come true.'

Speaking about the after party, the Million Dollar Baby star said that everyone wanted to carry on celebrating so they had to use wireless headphones and have a silent disco with their friends and family.

Hilary has since given birth to twins.

'Everyone was having so much fun and didn't want the party to end, so we actually had to start dancing to wireless headphones into the wee hours of the next day, so the distant neighbours wouldn't be kept up by the sound system', she said.

'We ended the night riding back to our rooms on bicycles decorated Burning Man-style with LED lights and streamers by our friend's children. They weren't pretty, but they sure made a statement!'

Hilary and Philip got engaged two years ago during a romantic holiday in Colorado, a few months after they started dating. Before meeting her now husband, she was engaged to tennis player Ruben Torres that same year, but the couple decided to go their separate ways.

This is the Hollywood star's second marriage, as she was previously married to actor and director Chad Lowe. The pair were together for ten years before getting divorce in 2007.

The recently taken a break from her career to take care of her father, who had to undergo a lung transplant, but he's thankfully recovering.

She told Stephen Colbert in his late-night show: 'He's great, thank you for asking. It's the hardest surgery a person can undergo, and I thank all the people who make themselves a donor, it saves lives.

'He's alive and thriving and well. I took three years off to be with him and help him through that life journey.'
