Holly Willoughby has shared a picture of her three-year-old son Chester with his hands on his head in a mix of frustration and sadness as England were booted out of the World Cup.
This Morning host and mum-of-three Holly Willoughby summed up the feeling of the nation with a rare picture of her youngest little boy.
The shot, taken after after last night’s game, shows Chester in front of the television as the last minute of extra time struck, and the hopes of the England football team were shattered.
Holly captioned the picture: ‘💔… for so many reasons he will never forget his 1st World Cup… x’.
One person wrote: ‘A picture that sums up just how the nation is feeling 😔 #gutted’.
Another said: ‘It’s heartbreaking 💔’.
A third added: ‘Bless him we done very good to get to these stages 😃’.
Several celebrities have been sharing their own thoughts on the match on social media and many have reiterated that despite the loss, the team did the nation proud.
