Jana Kramer, who starred in hit TV show One Tree Hill, has revealed that she's expecting her second child after suffering multiple miscarriages.
The TV star took to Instagram to make the lovely announcement, with a family picture of her, her husband Mike Caussin and two-year-old daughter Jolie.
'Surprise! We have a rainbow baby on the way & couldn’t be more excited! Jolie is going to be a big sister & we’re becoming a family of 4!', the actress wrote.
She also confirmed the exciting announcement on her podcast, where she discussed her previous miscarriage heartache and said she's had a total of three miscarriages and two chemical losses.
'It's been a tough journey,' she said. 'We have lost our last two pregnancies. So, it's been really rough. We've both had a really hard time with this one because, you know, the one we lost in last October — we went to our 10-week ultrasound and it was gone.
'We had already heard the heartbeat, and I was sick. So, that was just really hard. And then we did IVF, and it worked. And then I ended up having chemical loss. But just going through IVF again, it was just really hard.'
Having suffered miscarriages before, the mum said that while it was hard to wait until they could tell everyone, telling people they they'd lost a baby is harder.
'It's been tough because we've, like, wanted to tell people, but at the same time, it's also that hard thing of being like "and we lost it,"' she said.
Her husband Mike also spoke about the exciting news, saying 'it's been a long road'.
'I just think we have a greater appreciation for the miracle of having a baby because of what we've been through, what you've been through, with miscarriages. And I think anyone that's been through that definitely can relate', he said.
Jana married Mike, an American football player, in 2015 but the two separated a year later. However, the couple reconciled and renewed their vows at the end of last year.
They already share a daughter, Jolie Rae, who they welcomed in January 2016.
