Jeremy Kyle 'ecstatic' after becoming a grandfather for the first time

Jeremy Kyle has welcomed his first grandchild after his daughter Harriett gave birth to a baby girl.

The TV host, 52, is said to be ‘over the moon’ with the arrival of little Isla after Harriet, his daughter from his first marriage to Kirsty Rowley, gave birth over the weekend.

‘Jeremy is over the moon at becoming a grandfather for the first time,’ a source told The Sun.

‘He’s going to spoil little Isla rotten and is proud as punch. He hasn’t stopped smiling since.’

A spokesperson for Jeremy later confirmed the happy news, saying: ‘Jeremy is absolutely ecstatic.'

On Sunday, Jeremy’s good friend and co-star Graham Stanier shared an adorable snap of the new granddad cradling baby Isla with a huge smile across his face.

In February, it was revealed that 27-year-old Harriett was expecting her first child.

‘Jeremy is over the moon at Harriet’s news,’ a source told The Sun at the time.

‘It’s a very exciting time for the whole family and he can’t wait to meet the little one.’

Harriet is the only child from Jeremy’s relationship with wife Kirsty, who he married in 1989 and split from the following year.

He also has daughters Alice, 14, Ava, 12 and son Henry, eight, from his marriage to his second wife, Carla Germaine, whom he divorced in 2016.

Jeremy is now engaged to his children's former nanny Vicky Burton, after proposing to the 36-year-old in the Caribbean at the end of January.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain shortly after his engagement news was revealed, Jeremy said: ‘All I did was get engaged – it's very nice and I'm very happy.

‘I've just done the most romantic thing which is to present a beautiful lady with a ring.’

Jeremy and his fiancée Vicky are yet to announce where and when they will be tying the knot.
