Kate Hudson shocked fans by revealing that she’s expecting her first child with Danny Fujikawa.
The news broke when the actress shared an adorable gender reveal video on Instagram. As well as letting the world know that she’s carrying a girl, Kate’s clip also detailed the reason why she’s kept her pregnancy a secret.
‘SURPRISE!!! If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick! It was the most sick first trimester of all my children,’ she told her followers.
‘Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food Instagrams make me queasy and thinking too much about Insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been.’
Kate - who displays her blossoming bump in a floaty white maxi dress in the footage - went on to say that she’s been putting on a brave face whenever she steps out in public.
‘If you’ve seen me out and about smiling and pretending like everything is amazing...I was lying! BUT! I have broken through on the other end of that and rediscovering the joys of Insta/Snap,’ she continued.
‘We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I’m a poppin’ now! And it’s too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it!’
The 38-year-old concluded her announcement by stating just how happy her whole brood are with the news that another female will be joining the clan later this year.

Expectant Kate, who confirmed her relationship with Danny by stepping out on the red carpet with him in May last year, is already a mum to two children.
She welcomed her eldest son Ryder with her former husband Chris Robinson on 7 January 2004 and gave birth to another boy named Bingham a few years later on 9 July 2011.
Bingham’s father is Muse rocker Matt Bellamy who proposed to Kate in 2011 after a year of dating.
Kate and Matt decided to call time on their relationship in 2014.
