Kate Middleton chooses a car seat fit for a King

Kate Middleton is known for her thrifty fashion sense, and it seems her bargain hunting ways have extended to her son, as the heir to the throne was seen in a car seat that retails for as little as £80.

Though Prince George will eventually park his posterior on the throne, for now he will travel in safety and style in the Britax Baby-Safe Infant Carrier car seat.

The seat with the Royal seal of approval is a favourite among new parents as it’s extra safe and can be used until baby weighs 13 kgs, the normal weight for a 12 to 15 month old.

Britax European Managing Director, Ian Watson, said that the company were ‘delighted’ that one of their seats will carry the heir to the throne, adding: ‘As a British brand and the leader in child travel safety, we are honoured to hear that the Prince of Cambridge [has] one of our infant carriers.’
