Kate Upton has announced she's expecting her first child with husband Justin Verlander.

The model revealed the lovely baby news in a Instagram post, where she's posing on a balcony, dressed in a red pant suit and a white top and a tiny baby bump can be spotted.

The 26-year-old tagged her husband Justin in the caption, writing: '#PregnantinMiami @justinverlander 🌞❤️'.

The 35-year-old professional baseball player also shared the same picture of the expectant mum on his own Instagram account, with a special message dedicated to Kate in which he gushed about what a great mother she is going to be to their baby.

He wrote: 'You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I've ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.'

It's unclear if they are expecting a little boy or a little girl, and the couple also did not reveal their due date.

Fans were quick to congratulate the model after she shared the happy news, with one saying: 'Congratulations!! Best wishes in the next chapter of your life!!'

A second added: 'BIG CONGRATS 🍾🎈🎉 to you Kate and Justin! This GREAT NEWS. has truly overwhelmed me! HAPPY! 😃'.

A third wrote: 'That baby will have some awesome parents. Congrats 🎉🍾🎊'.

This will be Kate and Justin's first child, and the lovely news comes just a few eight months after the two tied the knot, in November 2017.

The couple started dating in 2014 and became engaged in 2016, but surprised everyone when they revealed they had said 'I do' in Italy, because they kept the nuptials private until after it happened.
