Kerry Katona is slammed for adding sugar to her young daughter's breakfast cereal

The comments came after the Atomic Kitten star uploaded a video of her morning routine to Instagram

A candid new video showing Kerry Katona adding sugar to her daughter Dylan-Jorge's cereal has come under fire from concerned fans.

In the footage posted to Instagram, the Atomic Kitten star dances happily around her spacious kitchen wearing a short jumper and leggings before serving her three-year-old daughter breakfast.

'Morning madness before school runs... nothing better then a little bit of music to start your day off 😂😂,' Kerry captioned the clip.

After seeing the mum-of-four sprinkle sugar over her daughter's bowl of cereal. A number of Kerry's followers were quick to voice their opinions on the upload.

'Sugar on breakfast that's filled with sugar! That's so bad for their teeth @kerrykatona7 😳😬,' commented one.

Another added: 'Too much sugar on your kids cereal not very healthy for them.'

Totally outraged to see Kerry, 37, receive backlash from a handful of her followers, many hit back at the critics.

'Nothing wrong with giving kids sugar and as for horrible comments this wee girl is gorgeous - good on you Kerry you're a great mum and a inspiration xxxx,' said one.

Another fired back: 'Everyone moaning 'sugar on cereal' 😱😱 SHOCK HORROR!!!!!!! Always someone with something to say, have none of you ever heard of a toothbrush??!'

A third user of the social networking site stuck up for Kerry by revealing that they also added sugar to their son's breakfast when he was younger.

'Guess what?!! My son has had a great big spoonful of sugar in his porridge every morning since he was little. Perfect teeth, normal weight and going to Cambridge to study medicine this year,' they said.

What do you think? Would you add extra sugar to your child’s breakfast cereal? Or do you agree with some of Kerry’s critics that it’s a trip to the dentist waiting to happen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
