Liam Payne shares sweet photo of baby Bear for the first time in almost six months

Liam celebrated Valentine's Day with a little help from his son

Liam Payne recruited his son Bear to send the perfect Valentine's Day message to girlfriend Cheryl.

The former One Direction star gave fans a glimpse of his growing baby boy in a sweet message on Instagram to celebrate his first Valentine's Day with Cheryl since they welcomed their son last March.

Joking that he now has to compete with the tot for Cheryl's affection, Liam shared a snap of Bear's torso wearing an adorable customised bodysuit from My 1st Years, which paid tribute to his 'mummy'.

'Bear is Mummy's little Valentine', the top read. While Liam captioned the image: 'Happy Valentine's Day @cherylofficial and everyone. Looks like I've got the big guy to compete with now'.

The fiercely private couple have given little away about their son's identity, with only Liam sharing the odd snap of Bear's feet or hands, never his face - but this is the first new image Liam has shared of Bear in months.

Fans were quick to gush over the adorable photo, with one commenting: 'So cute daddy payno happy valentines day both of you and our little bear.'

Another said: 'Oh my god this is the cutest thing i've ever seen'.

While a third begged: 'OMG..so cute. We want to see his face Liam'.

While Cheryl has remained silent about her son on social media, and given little away during public appearances, Liam is happy to share posts, gushing about how much he loves being a dad.

In December, Liam recalled the moment Bear was born, saying: 'Holding him for the first time is a memory I will never forget and watching him grow up is just amazing to see. @cherylofficial has been an incredible mother to baby Bear since the day he was born and I can’t thank her enough for that.'
